Galvalume is a 55% Al-Zn coated steel product that is suitable for most types of roofing and siding applications as well as unexposed automotive parts, appliances and other applications which benefit from the product’s unique blend of corrosion resistance and high heat reflectivity.

The ductility and strong anti-corrosion properties of galfan coated steel make it highly suited for deep-drawn parts and parts requiring a high level of corrosion protection. In certain applications, a 10 micron of galfan coating can replace a 20 micron galvanized coating, providing better weldability, drawability, and corrosion resistance. Because of its high aluminum content, galfan coated steel does not possess the characteristic "spangle" of conventional galvanized coatings.
